NEUROTANGO is a method by Lic. Maria Teresa Gil Ogliastri that proposes combining the contributions of Tango with the framework of Dance Movement Therapy. It is intended for people with Neurodiversity with the aim of integrating the body and mind through experiences that mirror, clarify and modify movement patterns, which could reflect changes linked to the use of Mirror Neurons, Neuroplasticity and Neurogenesis. In this way it enables awareness and sense of the body; not as a disabled body but as an inhabited body facilitating communication, social interaction, inclusion in the community and the capabilities that are hidden behind disabilities.
Since its inception in 2015, NEUROTANGO has been concerned about its dissemination by participating in countless Exhibitions in famous and emblematic places of Tango, free and/or low-cost movement workshops for people with disabilities, Congresses, Conferences and Training for the staff of the Tango. dance, tango and health of Buenos Aires.
Based on our recognized professional experience we have created the NEUROTANGO ARGENTINA training, which is aimed at Tango practitioners, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, dancers and anyone who wants to acquire tools to accompany people with Neurodiversity in a therapeutic process with solid fundamentals of Dance/Tango Movement Therapy.
The NEUROTANGO ARGENTINA training modality will be face-to-face with four modules lasting 3 hours and an evaluation with professional monitoring of their practices (supervisions). It will be taught by Psychologist: Lic. Maria Teresa Gil Ogliastri, Dance Movement Therapist Lic. Adriana Reinozo Tango Choreographer: Lic. Augusto Balizano.
